The Story
As both a software developer and a small business owner, Chris Davies understood the payroll problem from both sides. Existing payroll solutions were either too expensive, too complex, or designed for large enterprises. Not for the Canadian entrepreneur paying a handful of employees every two weeks.
There was no simple, affordable, self-serve payroll tool built specifically for Canadian small businesses. So Chris and his team built one.

What We Do
Since launching in 2021, PayCub has grown to support over 1,000 active Canadian businesses. From sole proprietors with a single employee to bookkeepers and accountants managing payroll for 40+ companies, PayCub is trusted at every scale.
PayCub started as a self-serve payroll platform, and that remains our core. Business owners run their own payroll, pay employees directly, and remit to the CRA themselves. PayCub handles everything in between: CPP, EI, and income tax calculations using current CRA formulas, pay stub generation, T4 slips, and remittance summaries. No third-party handling of your money.
We're also growing into managed payroll for business owners who want to hand off the process entirely. Submit hours, we handle the rest: verified pay stubs, Funds Summary, and delivery to employees. You stay in control of payments and CRA remittance. PayCub does the work.
